I'm a Fullstack Academy graduate, full-stack developer, and Teamsters Local 817 film and television transportation driver. I was born in Brooklyn and now live in Bergen County, New Jersey. I build websites and software around my production-work schedule.
I also hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with Tanker and Passenger Endorsements, adding another safety- and operations-focused credential to my professional background.
I publish my professional work under Frank Smith III. Some platforms may shorten the name to Frank Smith, but this portfolio, my developer resume, GitHub, and LinkedIn all point to the same New Jersey professional profile.
Software training, a CDL, and production work
While completing my software-development training at Fullstack Academy, I also attended trucking school and earned my Class A CDL. I wanted to build two practical skill sets: developing software and doing dependable work in the field.
I took a job at Coppola to gain experience and work toward the union production opportunity I wanted. My last day at Coppola was August 14, 2026, and I began film and television transportation work through Teamsters Local 817 on August 20, 2026. My production experience includes chauffeur work with Netflix Productions.
That progression was deliberate. Safety, accountability, documentation, troubleshooting, and communication matter in operational work, and they also shape how I build and maintain software. My water-treatment experience remains part of that foundation, rather than my current job description.
Alongside production work, I continue developing websites and software. My goal is to build a second source of income through useful projects and reliable client work, with realistic commitments around my work schedule. My earlier water-treatment field operations work and current film and television transportation experience keep me focused on real systems where safety and reliability matter. That carries into how I build software: I try to keep things clear, useful, and dependable.
My experience as an entrepreneur taught me to focus on outcomes, communicate clearly, and keep moving when a problem gets frustrating. New Jersey keeps me grounded, and being close to New York keeps me ambitious.
Graduating from Fullstack Academy and building hands-on projects made me stronger in JavaScript, accessibility, and performance. I also bring lessons from past jiu-jitsu and boxing into how I work: stay calm, adjust fast, and keep showing up.
